I so love general conference. Yesterday we were able to attend the Saturday morning session. The intermediate hymn was 'We thank thee O God for a prophet.' All of the talks about realizing Heavenly Father's love for us and what that means in our individual lives, I know even more surely that this truly is the only true church. With all of the dark clouds currently in our nation and in the world, we don't need to fear. The wicked will be smitten and those who reject the gospel will never know the happiness that we know. We don't need to fear, we have a prophet to guide us and we have the gospel to bring us happiness and peace even when everything else around is falling.

We thank thee O God for a prophet
To guide us in these latter days.
We thank thee for sending the gospel
To lighten our minds with it's rays

We thank thee for every blessing
Bestowed by thy bounteous hands
We feel it a pleasure to serve thee
And love to obey thy command.

When dark clouds of trouble hang over us
And threaten our peace to destroy
There is hope smiling brightly before us
And we know that deliverance is nigh

We doubt not the Lord nor His goodness
We've proved him in days that are past
The wicked who fight against Zion
Will surely be smitten at last

We'll sing of his goodness and mercy
We'll praise him by day and by night
Rejoice in his glorious gospel
And back in it's life giving light

Thus on to eternal perfection
The honest and faithful will go
While they who reject this glad message
Shall never such happiness know.
